Pain Relief vs. Long-Term Health: Why Your Patients Don't Understand The Difference

Why I do what I do!

I see it all the time...chiropractors who are amazing at what they do, who love their patients, who genuinely care - but they are struggling with their practice growth and it's killing them.

Sound familiar?

You know how to adjust, you know the science, you're technically brilliant...but something's not working. The patients aren't staying, the practice isn't growing, and you're exhausted trying to figure out what you're doing wrong.

I know this because I lived it...and I mean LIVED it!

The Thing About Being Good At Adjusting...

The Thing About Being Good At Adjusting………

When I was 17 I moved from Perth to Melbourne to study Chiropractic at RMIT. My older brother had just completed 1st year which somewhat paved the way for me. Throughout Uni I did as many technique seminars as I could - I loved it! The ART of chiropractic was the thing that I really attached myself to.

I felt like I succeeded...I was more than competent at finding the subluxation and adjusting it - this felt so good!!

When I graduated I worked as a locum in the UK, then in various towns and practices around Oz, so by the time I got to opening my own practice 18 months later I felt that surely I would crush it!

But then what happened?

If I was good at looking after other people's practices and I was good at adjusting why was my new practice failing?

The Reality Check!

Here's what I didn't understand at the time…...being a great adjuster doesn't make you a great practice owner.

I didn't know systems, procedures, communication or business for that matter - everything I needed to know to make practice not only a success but a fun, happy place to be.

You see, I could find the subluxation and deliver the adjustment all day long but I couldn't attract the right patients, I couldn't communicate value in a way they understood, and I had no idea how to create an experience that made them want to stay and bring their family.

Here's what kept happening...patients would come in with pain, I'd adjust them, they'd feel better, and then they'd disappear. Once the pain was gone, so were they.

I didn't know how to communicate that chiropractic care wasn't just about pain relief - it was about long-term health and wellness. I didn't know how to help them understand that the real benefits came from ongoing care, not just symptom management.

And so my practice failed.

That's right!!! I FAILED!!!

The Turning Point - Getting Coached Changed EVERYTHING

Fast forward a few years and a failed practice...I finally did something different.

I got help. I invested in coaching and mentoring for myself.

And I couldn't believe what a difference it made...

Everything changed when I had someone show me HOW. Someone who had been where I was and knew the path forward. Someone who could teach me the systems, the communication, the patient experience that actually works.

This is what made the difference - not another seminar, not another technique course, but actual coaching that showed me how to build a practice that worked.

Success was actually easy once I knew how...

The False Choice Most Chiropractors Make

Now here's where most chiropractors get stuck...

They think they have to choose between evidence based care OR wellness care.

They think these are two different things that can't see eye to eye.

You either practice "evidence based" care which means short term symptom relief and medical model thinking...

OR you practice "wellness care" which means you're not scientific, you're making claims you can't back up, and you're somehow less credible.

SIMPLY NOT TRUE!!!

This is my niche...showing chiropractors that evidence based care and wellness care work TOGETHER. They aren't opposing forces - they are meant to complement each other!

You can provide heart centred, patient focused, evidence based care in a wellness model that not only creates lifetime patients, but empowers them to find optimum health.

You don't have to sacrifice science to practice wellness. You don't have to abandon your values to grow your practice.

What Chiropractors Really Need Help With!

Through my own journey and now working with chiropractors every day, I've learned that there are three critical areas where chiropractors struggle:

1. Attraction - How do you get the right patients through your door?

2. Communication - How do you explain what you do in a way that patients actually understand and value? How do you communicate that chiropractic isn't just about pain relief but about long-term health benefits? Most practitioners understand that once the pain goes then the patient goes...but not if they understand how chiropractic can benefit their health long term. This is the communication gap that changes everything.

3. Patient Experience - And this is the most important one...how do you create an experience that keeps patients coming back and brings their whole family in?

You see, you can be the best adjuster in the world, but if you can't attract patients, communicate value, and create an experience they love...your practice will struggle.

Most chiropractors are great at the adjustment but lost when it comes to these three things. I know because that was me!

Why I Do What I Do!

I became a coach because getting coached myself changed my life and my practice.

I wish someone had shown me this path sooner. I wish I hadn't had to fail before I figured it out. I wish I'd known that I didn't have to choose between evidence and wellness, between being a good chiropractor and having a successful practice.

So now I help chiropractors create a value driven practice they want to be in...where they get an opportunity to practice in a congruent way that empowers themselves and their patients.

I show them how to:

· Attract the right patients who value wellness care

· Communicate evidence based chiropractic in a way patients understand

· Create a patient experience that builds lifetime relationships

Because when you get these three things right, everything changes.

You Don't Have To Struggle Alone!

A lot of chiropractors talk to me about how hard it is to get patients to commit to care, how hard it is to communicate the value of what we do, how exhausting it is trying to figure everything out on your own...Sound familiar?

You see, if you are not getting the results you want, it doesn't mean you're a bad chiropractor. It means you haven't been shown HOW to build a practice that works.

Getting coached changed everything for me...and it can change everything for you too.

Done is ALWAYS better than perfect...so what can you do today?

Let me show you how to build the practice you've always wanted - where evidence based care meets wellness, where patients become partners in their health, and where you finally get to practice chiropractic the way it's meant to be practiced.

Because you deserve a practice that lights you up, not one that burns you out.

Ready to transform your practice? Let's talk about how bringing evidence based care and wellness together can change everything for you and your patients.
